A group of young people from Ysgol Greenhill have been working with Youth workers on two large scale projects. One being a girls group called You should Know which has been developing resources to highlight women's safety, how we can protect each other and how to raise awareness of risks. The second project known as His Path, His Journey are a group of boys who wanted to start to break down barriers to conversations; they want men/boys to talk more and seek help when needed. There focus is men's mental health and supporting each other.
Together the groups have collaborated and created We Know Our Journey, this project will seek to raise funds for organisations that support their core values and aims. They will create resources and raise awareness of both the groups whilst coming together to tackle hard hitting subject points.
The group have decided to tackle Pen Y Fan on Friday 3rd May in a bid to raise funds for their chosen organisations and they are very much looking forward to their first challenge. They will also be volunteering over long course weekend and running the 10k on the Sunday 23rd June to raise funds again. The group have a busy year ahead of them and are keen to raise as much awareness and money as they can.
